THE PERFECT AT HOME BLOWOUT
My new FAVORITE product is Smooth.Again by Kevin Murphy. I know I have already posted about this fabulous product but I cannot rave about it enough.  With our weather here in the Pacific Northwest, a lot of people need a product that is smoothing and helps eliminate frizz. Easy.Rider is another great one that also helps with eliminating frizz, but for a smoothed down beautiful blowout look at home, I recommend Smooth.Again.  Steps to a beautiful salon quality blowout at home goes as follows...
Tools you will need: medium sized round brush, blow dryer preferably with a director, clips to section your hair, no static wide tooth comb, a smoothing brush, medium size curling iron (1" barrel) and freshly washed hands
Products you will need: Smooth.Again and Session.Spray

Towel dry your hair until your hair is not dripping water, start by blow drying your hair and use your fingers to pull hair out at the root and follow with your director root to ends.  Do not keep your dryer in the same place for too long it could cause damage to your hair. move through your hair with your fingers and tipping your head for side to side to assure you are getting your hair dried evenly.  Once your hair is about 20% dry, apply Smooth.Again to your hair mid-length to ends and twist your hair into a low pony tail, while working the product through your hair. Time to section your hair out.  I recommend 3 parts. A halo on the top, a 2 inch section through the middle and leave the bottom out. Now back to the blow dryer and grab your brush. Starting with the bottom section, round brush your hair to desired direction and smoothness, continue with the middle and top section.  With completely dry hair start taking vertical sections from front to back with your 1" barrel curling iron.  If your iron is not a wand, do not use the tong on your iron, just wrap the hair with your hand. Work your way to the center back of your head and start over from front to back on the opposite side of your head. If your sections are a little too thick break the sections up from bottom to top.  Normally if the hair is falling out of your hand and cannot be wrapped it means you have too thick of a section. A very important detail in doing this style is to make sure the hair heats up enough so that you can barely touch it and that you do not mess with the sections until they have cooled down.  With your Session.Spray, lightly spray your hair all over. While your Session.Spray is setting, grab your wide tooth comb and start combing through your hair.  Do not fret, the style will come together and you can mold it with your comb and your smoothing brush. The beauty of the Session.Spray is, that it has memory resins. Also because you set your hair so well with the curling iron and let your hair cool it will stay in place! Mold your hair as you wish to desired style and look. I can only guess that once you have done this, you will be looking into the eyes of a supermodel with fabulous hair... Now get to it so you can feel like a goddess with fabulous hair!!!  <3 Cam
